Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying

Hi, I’m Rebeca! If you’ve been circling the idea of therapy for a while now, maybe Googling it at midnight, or even drafting an email you never sent, welcome, you’re in exactly the right kind of confused. You don’t need a tidy explanation of what’s wrong or a plan for how to fix it before you walk in. Honestly, if you showed up with all the answers, I’d be a little suspicious. My hope is to make the space feel safe enough that you can say the hard, messy, half-formed things out loud instead of just thinking them at 2am.

Rebeca works with individuals and couples who have some curiosity about themselves, even if that curiosity currently looks like exhaustion, burn out, resentment, or just a vague sense that something’s off. Most of her clients aren’t in crisis, they’re smart, self-aware people who’ve done “everything right” and still feel stuck, disconnected, or quietly unraveling underneath a life that looks fine on paper, or “should” be great. But they struggles, with who they actually are versus who they’ve been contorting themselves into for family, culture, a relationship, or a job that demands a version of them that isn’t sustainable.

Her style is part gut instinct and intuition, part analysis. She’s not just listening to your words, she’s clocking the pattern underneath them, the thing you keep circling without naming.  That’s what keeps her curious. She’s warm and collaborative, but don’t mistake warm for soft, she believes people can be held accountable and held gently in the same breath.

In session, she’ll call out a pattern or ask the question you’ve been actively avoiding, but it never lands like an ambush, it lands like someone who’s actually paying attention. She’s not interpreting you from behind a notepad; she says what she notices, out loud, and lets you decide if it’s true, so the insight is yours, not hers to hand you.

Clients describe her as direct without being brutal, and honest without the judgment they braced for. And yes, there’s humour, sometimes darkly funny, and always well-timed,  because a session that never laughs is usually a session that’s performing seriousness rather than doing the work.

If there’s something you’ve been sitting on because saying it out loud feels too big, or you and your partner have quietly become strangers who share a mortgage, Rebeca wants to hear from you. You don’t need to show up with answers. Just enough curiosity, and a little nerve, to start.
