Hi, I’m Heather! I believe healing begins when someone finally feels fully seen, not judged, minimized, or rushed past the parts of themselves they have kept hidden for far too long. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but it can also be the beginning of building a real relationship not just with those around you but ourselves. My hope is to create a space where those survival strategies you’ve been using so effortlessly are met with compassion and curiosity. Together, we’ll delve into the deepest parts of you, see what needs to be seen and what’s always been there.
Many of the people Heather works with have spent years being “the strong one,” or intellectualizing their emotions, people-pleasing, or carrying trauma quietly while appearing capable on the outside. She works with adults and couples navigating life transitions such as career, parenthood, relationships, attachment and relationship dynamics, anxiety and emotional regulation. She has a special interest in helping adults and couples heal from trauma and sexual violence, infidelity and trust repair, people-pleasing, self-worth, shame, and authentic living. The shared thread running through much of this work is the experience of feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about who you are outside of what others need from you.
Heather’s approach integrates both intuitive and practical methods, supporting clients in connecting with their emotional and bodily experiences while also helping them make sense of recurring patterns, attachment dynamics, and relational struggles. Her style is relational, collaborative, and grounded in honesty, balancing compassion with gentle challenge, and working at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
In sessions, Heather’s work is not about offering rehearsed advice or simply listening from a distance. It is about helping clients better understand themselves, the patterns they have developed, where they came from, and what may no longer fit the life or relationships they want for themselves now. For her, therapy is less about finding quick answers and more about creating space for greater self-understanding and connection to yourself and the world around you.
If something here made you feel like Heather just might “get it”, that feeling is worth following.
