Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying

Hey! I’m Eileen. If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy but keep putting it off, wondering whether your struggles are “big enough,” or whether a stranger could really understand what you’re carrying, I totally get it! I’m not here to fix you or tell you how to live your life. Whatever brings your to therapy, my hope is the same: to help you understand yourself more clearly and move forward in a way that feels genuinely aligned with who you are

Eileen works with individuals, couples and families navigating anxiety and overthinking, people-pleasing, low self-worth, trauma, difficult family dynamics, complex relationships and addiction, whether it’s their own or a loved one’s. She enjoys supporting newcomers and clients exploring cultural identity, family expectations, and what it means to build a life that feels like their own. Across these different concerns, similar themes tend to show up: feeling stuck, doubting yourself, struggling to trust your own voice, or feeling caught between what others expect and what you actually want.

Eileen holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, along with training in IFS, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, anger management, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. With over six year of experience, she has worked across youth shelters, crisis stabilization settings, and community mental health and addictions programs, before moving into private practice. That range has shaped a style that blends evidence-based methods with genuine human connection; she draws on research and training, but never at the expense of warmth, curiosity, a splash of humour and simply being present with someone in the middle of a hard moment.

In sessions, clients can expect a mix of structure and flexibility. Eileen often uses questions to help slow things down and notice what’s happening beneath the surface, but she also knows that understanding something logically isn’t always enough to create change, so there’s room for emotional exploration alongside practical tools. Clients tend to describe her style as direct yet compassionate, she won’t just nod along if she notices a pattern worth naming, but she brings it into the room with curiosity rather than judgment. There’s honesty here, and there’s also room for humour and humanity.

If Eileen feels like a fit, we’d be happy to connect you with her for a free ½ hour consultation. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out, and you don’t need to wait until things feel unbearable to deserve support. Starting therapy can simply mean showing up as you are, with a willingness to be curious, and taking that first step together, at a pace that feels right for you.
