Hi there, I’m Cat. I believe that behaviour always has meaning. What often looks like a “problem” on the surface is usually someone doing their best to cope with pain, stress, trauma, or experiences that once felt too big to face alone. In our work together, we get curious about those patterns and what they may be trying to communicate. I’m a bit of a tough-love truth-teller in the therapy room and will challenge clients in a kind, thoughtful way while keeping the space grounded and human. Humour also shows up often in my sessions. Sometimes when things feel too big to cry about, laughter becomes the way through.
Catherine brings a relational, intuitive style to her work as a psychotherapist. She believes healing happens through genuine connection and attunement, where two people are present and engaged in the work together. Clients often appreciate that she shows up as a real human in the room rather than a perfectly polished professional. Her approach blends honesty, warmth, and curiosity, helping clients explore patterns in their thoughts, behaviours, and relationships while building practical tools they can carry into their lives beyond the therapy room.
Catherine has particular passion for supporting individuals navigating ADHD, autism, trauma-related experiences, substance use and recovery, and emotional regulation challenges such as those associated with borderline personality disorder. Much of her work focuses on helping clients understand their nervous systems, reduce shame, strengthen boundaries, and build ways of coping that genuinely fit who they are rather than forcing themselves into expectations that were never designed for them.
Clients often describe Catherine’s work as collaborative, grounded, and authentic. Catherine’s experience, some of the most meaningful moments in therapy are the quiet ones: when something clicks, when a new insight lands, or when a client returns and shares that the work continued long after they left the room. Those moments are what continue to guide and inspire the work she does each day.
