Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying

Hi, I’m Arlo, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Think of me as your compass, not your map. I’m here to help you find direction and stay oriented, but the path itself is yours to walk. My style is one of gentle guidance, trusting that you already hold more of the answer than you realize. I believe you don’t need a diagnosis to deserve therapy, and if you do have one, it doesn’t limit the full, happy life you get to build

Arlo has an interest in supporting people navigating change, the in-between “stage A to stage B” moments of life, including relocating to a new city, shifting careers, or stepping into a new chapter. These transitions can feel scary and exhilarating all at once, often leaving people feeling stuck in their day-to-day and unsure how to move forward. Arlo also has a particular focus on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and trans experiences; as a non-binary therapist themself, they see clients for who they are, not their labels, while still holding space for the weight those labels can carry.

Building trust is at the heart of Arlo’s work, shaped in part by their own experience sitting in the client’s chair. They draw on CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy to help clients build resilience and move through emotional experiences and life changes. But more than any modality, Arlo holds space for clients to become more fully themselves, not a version of “better” borrowed from someone else’s view, or from societal norms and expectations.

Arlo understands that this work isn’t a magic fix, and it helps to know that going in. They view therapy as a collaborative process, and the clients they connect with best are the ones ready to be curious alongside them, even when it’s uncomfortable, because that’s where the real, lasting growth happens.
